<p>Industry Week is an annual event organized by RMIT Vietnam Business Club in collaboration with WCLL Unit (Work, Careers &amp; Lifelong Learning Unit), starting the first time in year 2010. With the desire of being the wings to help future potential leaders develop networking, education in the studying time and find the right ways to fly up high their dreams, we try to create opportunities for dare-to-think-big students to meet, talk and learn from the successful people in doing business. They are talented, experienced and enthusiastic Founders and Leaders coming from well-known local and international companies. The topics will also be changed every year to suit real economic situations.</p>
<p>The Industry Week 2010, which is held through Week 8 of Semester A2010–, will consist of three forums with topics for different aspects:</p>
<p><strong>Forum 1: 2.00pm – 4.30pm on Monday, 12 April 2010.<br />
“Succession Planning: Preparing to lead your family business”</strong></p>
<p><strong>Forum 2: 10.30am – 1.00pm on Wednesday, 14 April 2010.<br />
“Branding, Creating Value and Creative Marketing”</strong></p>
<p><strong>Forum 3: 10.30am – 1.00pm on Friday, 16 April 2010.<br />
“Entrepreneurship: Creating your own startup”</strong></p>

This is to find the most creative T-shirt design that club members will wear in club&#8217;s casual activities as well as to promote the brand name of the club. <p>We would like to thank you for your support and devotion throughout five years. Now it’s time for us to look back achievements as well as obstacles that we have got through during 5 years. You may have had beautiful memories during the time you have contributed to BC,  valuable experience or lessons you have got through running events or projects and even sensations of friendship when everyone works together. So why don’t you express your feelings or simply show your love to BC or lovely friends who had or have been helping you? Some ones told me that BC brings to them a lot experience about the process of running projects. Some said that they had become more confident and had more friends…</p>
<p>That is also the purpose of this event. ^_^ Let write a short essay (maximum 250) which reflects how BC makes you change and what BC brings to you or simply show your endless love to BC.</p>
<p>There are 3 prizes for winners:<br />
1st prize: 200 000 VND.<br />
2nd prize: 150 000 VND.<br />

<p>On Teacher Day 20/11/2009, Business Club of RMIT International University Vietnam plans to cooperate with the other clubs to celebrate The Teacher Day Anniversary with many interesting activities such as Wishes Board, Workshop and Ceremony.</p>
<p>Through this event, RMIT Vietnam students desire to show our grateful thanks to the entire lecturers in RMIT. Furthermore, it is also a great opportunity for us to introduce Vietnamese traditions to foreign lecturers.</p>
<p>Within the week from 16 to 20/11/2009, the students will self-design their greeting cards, as well as meaningful gifts to those beloved teachers. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div style="text-align: justify;">As we continue to grow and expand, RMIT Vietnam Business Club recognizes the need to effectively recruit and train individuals to be future leaders in all of our activities. This semester, we are inviting  competent members of the club to the management training program. This is a golden opportunity for you to realize your potentials in leadership and management. Successful applicants will gain the chance to become part of our management team.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Recruitment process:</span></strong></p>
<p><strong>1.   Application submission (CV + Personal statement)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Goal: to get an understanding and personal characteristics of the applicants.</li>
<li>Applicants apply by submitting an CV, references are not required by the time of submission yet are expected to be available upon request.</li>
<li> In the personal statement, the applicants answer a set of questions from corresponding department managers and the HR department (general)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2. Discussion</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Goal: determine persuading skill, communication skill and discussion leading skill of the applicants.</li>
<li>All applicants take part in discussion sessions, with 6 participants each.</li>
<li>Topics prepared by: corresponding department managers.</li>
<li>Evaluated by: president, department manager, HR manager, club advisor.</li>
<li>Ratings are taken independently before being combined to create an overall score.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>3. Interview</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Goal: to ensure that applicants are qualified and are ready for training toward future management positions.</li>
<li>Assessed by: Board of Committee Members</li>
<li>To be considered in a case-by-case basis.</li>
<li>Maximum 2 assistants recruited per department.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>4. Training</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Recruited members will get a 1 or 2-semester training as an assistant before officially becoming a department manager.</li>
</ul>

<p>The day is our per-semester event where we welcome and introduce new members to the club and show our appreciation to the current members who made a great contribution to the club’s activities.</p>
<p>Also on this occasion, we will have a special certificate awarding ceremony for the members who actively participated in the &#8220;Couple of the Year&#8221; event last semester.</p>
