How does the club operate?
The club organized both strategic activities and project-based activities. Each activity could be, but not limited to, an event, a workshop, a team-building day, an exhibition, a tour to companies, a training session. The club’s members and volunteers participate in the projects. Each project has a leader who is an officer of the club.
Project participants are assessed after each project by peer evaluation form. Normally each project lasts for 2 weeks to no longer than 8 weeks.We encourage members to contribute their ideas in developing the Club.
We are glad to orient, help members to develop and implement their ideas as well. We did and will do what are the best for members and what members prefer. Committees are the core members of the club who help developing the club and assist all activities. Committee Members (CMs) are more committed to the club.
What is Induction Day?
RMIT Vietnam Business Club’s birthday is in July.The club organizes Induction Days every semester. Firstly, Induction Day is the dedicated day for all club’s members and friends where we gather and share experience. Moreover, on this day the Club’s officers will give general information of the Club including Club mission, goal, board managers, departmental job description, benefits and member responsibilities, etc. Moreover, new activities are introduced on this day as well.Team building days are organized every semester, coming at the end of each semester. We play team-building games, chit chat, have fun, get to know each other and enjoy parties on these days.
How many positions are open for a member?
The positions vary. Based on the nature of our projects, BC will recruit the right people to the right positions. The range of tasks is wide and different individuals with different skills may make use of their potentials.Typical positions for members may include, but not limited to

Can I join another club after being Business Club’s member?
Yes, you can. We expect you to schedule your time appropriately for commitment to different clubs.Conflicts in interest between different clubs don’t usually occur. However, in the case such conflicts exist, we expect our members to be professional and try to resolve by themselves.
How do I become a Committee Member?
To be eligible for joining committee board, the applicant must satisfy the following requirement
- Applicants must have official approval regular membership in Business Club
- Applicants have been actively engaged in current BC projects for minimum of 3 months.
- If applicants have satisfactory performance and applying at the urgent needed vacancies, this condition can be verified, at the discretion of the board of CMs.
- Applicants demonstrate a strong academic background with an average grade of CR up, though it may be varied dependent on the circumstances.
- Candidates who have got experience of leading at least one BC project or initiating an outstanding project are preferred.
- Selection process
By applying to CM members, you are voluntarily taking a greater responsibility and commitment to the club. A regular member who wants to become a CM member will apply for management position by a written membership application. Or, regular members with outstanding performance could be recommended by management members to apply for nominee. At last, a list of potential management members, including name, ID number, contact number, email address, must be provided to the Club Management Team. It is also the responsibility of the Management Team to verify that all submitted members meet eligibility requirements. Candidates whose written application form could demonstrate to meet all eligibility requirements will be invitred to participate in a talk with CM members.For final selection, all CM members have the voting right to choose the best nominee. The candidate with majority of votes will win the position. Selection process is mainly based on criteria and requirements below. Official announcement for new CM members will be through written documents.
Is Business Club recognized?
RMIT Vietnam Business Club is a registered club in RMIT University. The club receives official supports from the University. The club must present charters, activity year plan, membership management methodology, financial statements to the university’s authority.RMIT Vietnam Business Club is widely recognized by many prestigious companies and organizations including, but not limited to:

I have an idea, how can I get supports?
Please discuss your idea with your leader, or any committee member. If your idea conforms to the club’s culture and does not violate the university regulations, we will do our best to assist you to make your idea come true. You can become the leader of the project that is organized based on your idea.
I am not an RMIT student, how can I be connected to RMIT VN Business Club?
According to RMIT University Club Charter, membership is only open to RMIT students.If you are RMIT alumnus or not an RMIT student, we value your contribution as volunteers. Please don’t hesitate to contact our Human Resources department at hr@rmitbc.com.
